Pollinator Gardening Session • Western Foothills Land Trust

  • Shepard's Farm Preserve 139 Crockett Ridge Road Norway, ME, 04268 United States (map)

Western Foothills Land Trust will be spending a few hours seeding a 1/4 acre area, and there will be warm and delicious refreshments for all. WFLT encourages participants to wear work gloves, sturdy footwear, bring water and dress for the weather. The proposed pollinator habitat will be established and restored over three years, approximately one-quarter acre each year, using non-chemical meth-ods to kill the existing vegetation and replanting with native plant species. Non-chemical (mechanical) methods will treat invasive species. Our desired outcome is an increase in habitat to support the growth of monarchs and other native pollinators.
